2. Accessing the website and server log files

This website is operated on our behalf by [hosting provider, address, country]. When you access the website, the provider automatically processes, on our behalf, information sent by your browser and stores it in server log files. This comprises in particular:

• the IP address of the requesting device,
• the date and time of access,
• the specific page or file requested,
• the previously visited page (referrer URL), if transmitted,
• the browser and operating system used,
• the amount of data transferred and the HTTP status code.

This processing serves to deliver the website technically, to ensure its stability and security, and to prevent misuse. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in a secure and functioning website pursuant to Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.

The log files are deleted after [retention period], unless they are needed to investigate a specific security incident. We have concluded a data processing agreement with the provider pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR.

3. Cookies

Simply viewing this website sets no cookies. A strictly necessary session cookie (scls-session) and a cookie protecting against cross-site request forgery (XSRF-TOKEN) are set only when you use the contact form or access the internal editorial area. These cookies are essential for the respective function, contain no identifiers for advertising or analytics purposes, and expire at the end of the session or after two hours at the latest.

The legal basis for these strictly necessary cookies is Section 25(2)(2) of the German Telecommunications Digital Services Data Protection Act (TDDDG) together with our legitimate interest in a functioning website protected against misuse pursuant to Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. No cookie banner is required for this; no cookies requiring consent are used.

4. Contacting us

4.1 Contact form

If you send us an enquiry via the form on the "Contact" page, we process only the data you enter: name, email address, phone number (optional) and the content of your message. We do not store an IP address or browser identifier with your enquiry.

The form data is stored in our website's database and additionally sent to us by email to info@scl-service.de. The email is delivered via [transactional mail provider, address, country], with which a data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR is in place.

To protect against automated spam, the form contains a field that is not visible to you (a "honeypot") and a submission-timing check. No cookies are set for this and no data is passed to third parties.

The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where your enquiry relates to entering into or performing a contract, and otherwise our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries and preventing misuse pursuant to Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.

We delete the data collected via the form once your enquiry has been dealt with conclusively and no statutory retention obligations apply. If the enquiry leads to an assignment, storage is governed by the applicable commercial and tax law retention periods.

4.2 Email, phone and fax

If you contact us by email, phone or fax, your details are stored in order to handle your request. The legal basis and storage period correspond to section 4.1.

5. Reach measurement and tracking

This website uses no services for reach measurement, analysis of user behaviour, retargeting or the creation of user profiles. No tracking across different websites or devices takes place.

6. Embedded content and fonts

The website is displayed using only fonts that are already present on your device. No fonts are loaded from external servers (such as Google Fonts). All images, scripts and stylesheets are served from our own server; no content from third-party content delivery networks, no map services, no video platforms and no social media plugins are embedded. Accessing the pages therefore does not establish any connections to third parties beyond delivery by the hosting provider.

7. Links to external websites

On the "References" and "Partners" pages we link to third-party websites. If you follow such a link, the privacy policy of the respective provider applies. We have no influence over their data processing.

8. Editorial access (CMS)

This website contains an internal editorial area for maintaining the content (news, references, partners). It is reachable via a path that is not linked publicly and is reserved for authorised editors. Login is with a personal account and two-factor authentication. This area is irrelevant to ordinary visitors; it is not called up during normal use of the website and loads no third-party content.

9. Recipients of the data

Our hosting provider, which delivers the website and runs the server, and the provider used to send the form enquiries by email, have access to personal data. Both act as processors on our behalf. Beyond this, we only pass on data if you have consented, if it is necessary to perform a contract, or if we are legally obliged to do so.

10. Storage period

We process personal data only for as long as it is necessary for the stated purposes. After that, the data is deleted unless statutory retention obligations apply. Where such obligations exist, processing is restricted for the duration of the retention period.

11. Your rights

You have the following rights regarding your personal data:

• the right of access (Art. 15 GDPR),
• the right to rectification (Art. 16 GDPR),
• the right to erasure (Art. 17 GDPR),
• the right to restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR),

12. Right to object

Where we process personal data on the basis of legitimate interests pursuant to Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, you have the right to object to that processing at any time on grounds relating to your particular situation. We will then no longer process the data concerned unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds for the processing that override your interests, rights and freedoms, or the processing serves to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.

13. Necessity of providing the data

Providing your data is neither legally nor contractually required. However, without the details marked as mandatory in the contact form we cannot process your enquiry.

14. No automated decision-making

No automated decision-making, including profiling, within the meaning of Art. 22 GDPR takes place.

15. Data security

The website is delivered exclusively in encrypted form via HTTPS (TLS). In addition, we take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data against loss, destruction, manipulation and unauthorised access.

16. Currency and amendment of this policy

This privacy policy is dated September 2026. If the website or the legal requirements change, we will amend the policy accordingly. The current version is always available on this page.
